In 2015, Sling TV kicked off the live TV streaming revolution and disrupted the traditional ways of pay-TV. Four years later, a lot has changed – including the debut of numerous live-OTT competitors, rising prices and slowing growth. Skepticism about live streaming TV's profitability persist and sentiment about it turning into a dreaded "cable-like" service is creeping into the picture.
