TDG Workshop - The Agile Operator: Success in the Age of Quantum Video
The ‘Netflixification’ of TV is now a common theme in discussions of TV Present. For TDG clients, this is old news. In 2006, we first depicted the rise of broadband video and on-demand viewing as the beginning of a major paradigm shift; a turn away from traditional single-source “fixed” access and viewing models, and towards quantum models – the dynamic, multi-source, multi-context experiences that characterize today’s TV and video viewing.

With a combined 80 years of experience in the fields of broadband, pay-TV, and video entertainment, three of TDG’s top analysts will speak on topics central to those charting a course in this quantum future.

• Michael Greeson, Founder & President, TDG
• Rob Silvershein, Senior Advisor, Advertising & New Media, TDG
• Mike Fischer, Senior Advisor, Digital Entertainment, AR/VR, eSports, Gaming, TDG

All attendees will receive a complimentary copy of the SVOD Report - High Marks or Just Passing? A Consumer Report Card for Big-3 SVOD and Pay-TV (a $2,500 value).

Programming the Future
From livestreaming services, to video on demand, to ad-supported content , the sky seems to be the limit for video programming. At the end of the day, though, content providers and distributors must find new ways to fill the funnel with new subscribers and keep existing ones. What are the types of programming that are going to drive subscriptions? How can content most effectively be bundled together in a way that creates maximum value for consumers while still complying with contractual obligations? And how can distributors be less reliant on tentpole sporting events, and creatively use content so there’s even distribution of subscriber growth throughout the year?

With the rise of the virtual MVPD, what does this mean for the traditional cable landscape and OTT in general? In this engaging discussion, Comscore Senior Director of Emergent Products, Susan Engleson will share an in-depth look at today’s OTT landscape and what this means for the future of audience engagement.

Analyst Presentation: Pay TV in the Age of Quantum Media

Mr. Greeson shares The Diffusion Group’s thoughts on the state of this transformation and the changing role of pay-TV in the consumer video equation, including new TDG research and predictions.

Premium Video Strategies: 4K, Cloud DVR, and Beyond
A landgrab is underway in the pay TV space: Providers of all shapes and sizes are racing to sign up as many customers as possible to their respective video services. However, a day may soon come when subscriber growth alone won’t pay the bills, and providers instead will begin looking at ways to eke out additional revenues from their existing customers.
