Chris Hall is the senior vice president of product at XUMO, the premium television and video-on-demand service for the digital age. In his role, Chris leads the product strategy and development of XUMO’s core streaming media technologies as the services are integrated into a suite of connected devices (such as smart TVs and set-top-boxes) and free-to-download, consumer-facing applications (for platforms including Android, iOS and Roku).

Chris brings 11 years of diverse media experience to his role at XUMO, culled from his past working at the National Football League and Red Bull Media House. Starting his career in live and remote television production for NFL Network, Chris quickly learned what it takes to make quality, engaging content and translate that into a sustainable audience. After subsequent roles with the NFL in Entertainment Marketing and Broadcast Compliance, Chris took the lead on several digital media initiatives for the NFL, including leading Product Operations for NFL Media’s digital subscription services (NFL Game Pass, NFL Game Rewind, etc.) which allowed fans around the world to listen to and watch live and on-demand games online. From there, Chris was selected as the product lead for an all-new, cross-platform personalized OTT video service entitled NFL Now, where he co-authored a patent for a personalization algorithm relating to video delivery.

Following the successful launch and growth of NFL Now in its first year, Chris took an opportunity with Red Bull Media House in Santa Monica, CA to lead connected device Product Development for the re-launch of Red Bull TV. In just over a year, Chris took over all design and development for the entirety of Red Bull TVs platform footprint (13+ different operating systems). Chris was instrumental in the user experience definition, product development, quality assurance testing, submission processing and marketing and partnership strategy for all platforms where Red Bull TV was available.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He is a resident of Los Angeles, an avid sports and music fan and a passionate advocate for connecting storytellers with the technology to give their stories an engaged audience.
