David Würgler began his career in anti-piracy in 1996. In 2002, he founded the Scandinavian TV Organizations against Piracy, better known as STOP Nordic, and then Nordic Content Protection. He was the CEO of Nordic Content Protection until January 2016 when he joined NAGRA.

David has worked closely with many right holders - among them Premier League, the Danish football league, the Swedish football league, the Norwegian football league, the Swedish hockey league, Discovery, Fox International, Sky UK, Sky Deutschland, Viasat/MTG, Eurosport, Canal+, TV 2 Norway, TV2 Denmark and many more.

From 1998 to 2014, David led and managed lobbying campaigns to change Danish, Swedish and Norwegian legislations on conditional access systems, IPR and enforcement.

David has overseen numerous press campaigns and been interviewed in the media in many European countries including UK, Holland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland etc. He was involved in more than 1000 anti-piracy ligations and has been called upon by authorities in all Nordic countries and the EU as an expert in the field. He has also contributed to the EUIP and other internal organizations as a speaker at many events all over Europe.

An expert on IPR, enforcement and lobbying he is currently overseeing NAGRA's involvement in the successful IBCAP program (www.IBCAP.us).​
